I studied law in Illinois, graduating from Southern Illinois  in 1989 with my Juris Doctor and went directly to the insurance industry to gain experience as an adjuster.  I started out handling all lines of insurance claims including homeowner claims, auto accident claims and all personal lines of property.  I transitioned into the legal practice in 1992 beginning my tour of duty starting as an insurance defense attorney in Chicago.  There, I handled a variety of areas such as auto accidents, slip and fall cases and dog bites.  My experience as a litigation attorney both for the defense and for the plaintiff spans decades.  I bring thirty years of both insurance coverage interpretation and litigation experience to court on every case I undertake.  As a result, I am well informed on insurance policy interpretation as well as insurance claims practice.  Now I practice on the plaintiff side and my practice areas include personal injury, worker’s compensation, bankruptcy, traffic court, criminal work, evictions, wills, probate, contract actions and general litigation.  I can also negotiate claims with your insurance company if you run into issues or bad offers with your carrier.  I also have faithfully served and continue to serve as a Cook County Arbitrator since 1995 presiding over a variety of cases and deciding liability and damages in general litigation cases.
